Traditional Led: Full, counted primary series with postures introduced by their Sanskrit names. This class is suitable for practitioners who have reached Navasana in their practice, however all are encouraged to attend. Let the count invite you into deeper state of breathing and meditation.
Mysore: The space where practice becomes meditation. These classes are suitable for ALL levels of practitioners and we believe this method is the best way to learn Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. Mysore-style allows the body to adapt to the practice in its own way on its own time so that you gain freedom and independence within your practice. An instructor is always available for adjustments, guidance, and to add new postures. Start your practice any time between 6-7am, those new to Ashtanga- come at 7am.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Open: These evening classes are targeted towards those of you who are building your Ashtanga practice posture by posture. Whatever level you feel you’re at, this is your level. Everyone begins together at 6pm (5:30pm on Fridays) and is led through the sun salutations and standing postures, at that time each practitioner continues their own practice under the guidance of the instructor. Go as far or as deep as your practice takes you that day. This traditional method of learning Ashtanga Vinyasa works and that’s why we are making sure everyone can benefit from it!
Workshops: We hold workshops from time to time on Saturdays from 2-4pm; topics will be publicized two weeks prior. Workshops should be considered an essential supplement to a student’s regular yoga practice. R300 or R200 for members.
